Is your quality system ready for ISO 9001?
Seventeen checks across clauses 4 to 10 of ISO 9001:2015, written the way an auditor asks them, with a readiness score, a clause-by-clause breakdown and a printable gap list.
Certification is awarded by an accredited certification body, not by us. This tool tells you what a stage 1 audit would find. Nothing is submitted or stored.
Who needs it
Organisations seeking first certification to ISO 9001:2015, or preparing for a recertification audit. The usual triggers are a tender that requires it, a major client's supplier questionnaire, or a run of quality complaints you cannot explain.
It suits security, FM, construction and events businesses in particular, where the quality system has to hold across a mobile workforce and multiple sites.
What’s included
17 checks across 7 sections
Answer In place, Partly or Not yet for each. You get a score, a per-section breakdown and a printable gap list. Nothing is submitted or stored.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need ISO 9001, or is a quality policy enough?
If a tender or client questionnaire asks for certification, a policy will not satisfy it. If nobody is asking, the honest answer is that 9001 earns its keep when your processes vary between sites or people, and not much when it is decoration. We will tell you which case you are in.
Does the certificate have to be UKAS-accredited?
Increasingly, yes. Public-sector buyers and most large private ones specify accredited certification, and unaccredited certificates get rejected at prequalification. Better to spend once with an accredited body than twice.
How long does certification take?
Three to six months for most businesses of this size, driven mainly by how much documented information already exists and how quickly internal audit and management review can be run: both must have happened before a stage 2 audit.
Can we combine it with 14001 and 45001?
Yes, and most of our clients do. The three standards share a clause structure, so an integrated system means one document set, one internal audit programme and one management review, audited in a combined visit. It costs less than three separate systems.
